David

I have this tool and love it. I've used it to board up my home and unboard my home for hurricanes. It works great for simple drilling projects around the house; metal and wood. Remember, B&D is known as home owner tools and not professional 10 hour a day use.

I own one it's not a 10 hour a day tool for contractors but I got it for around the house. I build signs and custom furniture when I'm not remodeling it's great handy, don't have to switch to 10 different tools, I've got everything thing I need right there with the different attachments, excellent tool and I love it. No complaints with mine I would suggest it to anyone who needs something handy around the house and the attachments are not expensive very affordable. I'm a contractor I know I'm not going to try and put a 40 square metal roof on with it. But for everyday use around the house and small repairs, excellent tool. 100% satisfied.

Defective out of the box and designed to fail

This system is a great idea and I love how its supposed to work. However, with Stanley cheeping out on the construction of these units the most import part the drill/motor unit is garbage. I've tried 3 of these units now and every single one of them has failed and failed in almost the same manner. The first version of this drill I've had the longest for several years and for the most part it did great the first two years. After that though now the motor is dying on it and its a sealed system so repairs of the unit are almost the price of a whole new drill. Additionally it has serious limitations and handicaps. The most glaring is the painfully slow 800RPM of the drill. This is really too slow for most applications and is a constant problem making it useless for anything other than drilling into wood. Additionally the other attachments minus the impact driver lack power to do much other than the lightest work. The impact driver is ok but lacks torque and instead will just spin, this can be a real problem as it will strip out screws or destroy material if you're not careful. The newest drills I've bought to replace my failing one are garbage out of the box. Within the first 2 months of even walmart's return policy I've ended up returning all of them for failures of both the switches (which are complete garbage) and the motors which also can't handle anything after very light uses. Because of this experience and the complete lack of help from B&D these are the very last B&D products I'll be buying. No support with products designed and specifically engineered to fail. All B&D wants is its money and beyond that they don't care so they sabotage their own products which could be good platforms.
