KitchenAid Blade Coffee Grinder, Empire Red, BCG111

I've never owned a coffee grinder, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but this one seems to be a very nice one. I like how it has measuring fill lines so I know how many beans to add. It is much more quiet than I expected, not nearly as loud as my blender. It is easy to clean; I typically just rinse after use and it's ready for the next time. It gives a nice grind, the coffee is fine and uniform. Never having had a grinder, I didn't know exactly how they work. I thought it would be more automatic (push a button) but with this one, you fill the bean container, put the lid on, and manually press down on the lid for a number of seconds to grind. It's fine with me. I wish it look up a little less space bc it's bulkier than I expected, but maybe that's why it works so well. I wouldn't change the size if it sacrificed performance, because it does work really well. I knowingly spent more for the Kitchenaid bc I wanted a good quality product, and I'm not disappointed. Would recommend. Fresh ground morning coffee is really nice!
