Instructions
1. Stack Briquets: In a pyramid. Add lighter fluid following lighter fluid directions. 2. Light Charcoal: Leave grill uncovered. Flames will die out while the briquets continue to burn and start to ash over. 3. Spread Briquets: In a single layer when covered in ash (in about 15 minutes). Begin grilling. For Your Safety: Never use gasoline to light charcoal. Do not add lighter fluid directly to burning or hot charcoal. Make sure ashes are cold before discarding. Never barbecue indoors (see warning above). Barbecue away from flammable items, overhangs and trees. Store briquets in a cool, dry place.

Adds Amazing Flavor!
After trying Kingsford's Original Charcoal Briquets with Applewood, I can honestly say this is a premium product. I always use a charcoal chimney for charcoal grilling, and it seems to light well. The charcoal grilled hot and even. I grilled pork loin on my Weber grill using the briquets, and the flavor was delicious. The smell from the grill made me salivate just getting things ready. I love that I am able to add a spin on the flavor of my food using a different kind of charcoal. I feel like the added smell and flavor make this product unique and different from other charcoal. While I received this product at a discounted rate in order to gain my honest opinion, I know I will be purchasing this again. Way to go, Kingsford!

Easy to light and adds a pleasant subtle flavor
These charcoals are very easy to light, in fact they seem easier than standard charcoal. The little strips of apple wood add just a subtle bit of flavor to your meat. I can't believe just how much that simple improvement helps the flavor so much. This was the easiest apple wood smoke flavored chicken I've ever grilled. It added almost a sweet flavor to the meat. I will most certainly be purchasing this every time we grill out.

Great for smoking in our smoker
We used our bag of Kingsford Applewood Charcoal to smoke baby back pork ribs in our Weber Smoky Mountain smoker. We were very pleased with how it lit, stayed hot for hours in the smoker and added just enough flavor to the meat. Very happy with the amount of smoke produced also. We look forward to trying the other flavored charcoal.
