Still Tasty

This cereal takes me back to my childhood, and now my grandchildren love them, as well. I do notice that they seem like they have less sugar in the flavor, which I'm sure is an improvement over when I used to eat them regularly.

Finally a Kellogg cereal in a Ziplock Bag!

I love Apple Jacks, always have since I was a kid, but it's a cereal flavor, either it's one you like, or don't. Just the way it is. What I'm really here to review is the packaging!!! I am soooooo happy with Kellogg for finally offering some of their cereals in a bag that zips. The bag is a way better value, I'm pretty sure it's like 5-10 cents per ounce cheaper, than any of the boxes. The ziplock works super well, my only complaint is, it only goes across about a third of the bag, and has a weird lip situation that a few pieces of cereal get caught on, sometimes. Also, be careful when you're ripping it open— the perforation isn't the best. I usually just cut it with scissors, to avoiding tearing the whole bag. Seriously though, I'm so happy with Kellogg for upgrading Apple Jacks to have a big bag option.

Not as good as they were

When I purchased this I thought it was a larger box than what was sent, although it was smaller in size,I was really not satisfied with the quality of the cereal.it had almost a cardboard flavor, hardly any sweetness,I'm not sure what happened with Kellogg's cereals it seems they took out most of the flavors to make it gluten free some of us out there like the extra protein the cereals had! What Kellogg's need to do is sell a non gluten cereal and a gluten protein cereal, not everyone has a gluten free diet when you remove the gluten from different foods it takes away most of the flavor (in my opinion) I just don't like paying extra when they try to make their cereal a gluten free alternative, Apple Jacks cereal used to have an apple and cinnamon flavor and had just the right amount of sugar and protein, Now it's just a lot of non sugar and no protein and very little flavor, although some kids may not know what these cereals used to taste like, they are being taught to eat them with no protein.
