Opuntia Monacantha F Monstruosa AKA: Maverick Cact

I don't know what the dislike is about from the other "review" was about, but these things are really cool, and fascinating to watch grow. I have 9 of these, and have had them approximately 1 year and 7 months. The milky white marble patterns did not begin developing until close to reaching a mature growth. Out of 9, only two have developed contorting branches. (Twisting Like A Twizzler) which is what some people call rare, and true to their natural traits. Non have bloomed. The closest to foliage, are the pink growths that form when new branches begin growing. Very pretty cacti! Last: My contorting cacti, both are approximately 14" tall. Three of the others are approximately 16" and a half. Two of them are 10"; and the last two have never grown past 4". As they mature, their flat like base, begins to round like a plant stem, giving them more stability as it grows. I don't think they are stopping growing, but more of a transition into "adulthood". Last Descriptive Trait. Spines, are absolutely minimal, primarily around the base of the cactus. They won't hesitate to get you. 😬 LoL, but you can repot these without gloves if you so wish. All are using the same soil, and receiving the same amount of light. 😊 Until they start maturing, and rounding at the base, these cacti are FLIMSY! L0L. I don't use sticks because they are indoors, and I only move them when cleaning and turning them around to get equal sunlight to both sides. Conclusion: $20 dollars is what the price stamp is showing as of now. I purchased mine, for $4.00, each having two to 3 stems per pot. Maybe rhats because it's winter time Who Knows.
