JVC HARX700 Precision Sound Full Size Headphones - Black

The first thing you will notice is that these headphones are BIG! Really Big, but beautiful! They are comfortable to wear and the sound is exceptional, especially the bass. Music and vocal reproduction is accurate and clear and these headphones fit extremely well, with good cushioning around the head and ears. This is a "heavy-duty" durable headphone made of sturdy materials, which includes a long heavy-duty cord. Please don't let the size scare you! They are not heavy, and although you might look like a space alien compared to those who walk around with their sleek headphones or ear buds, be assured that they will not be experiencing the quality sound that you will be enjoying with these "monsters". I bought these headphones for my computer which is equipped with a powerful Soundblaster sound card; thus the sound reproduction is superb. I do not believe an Ipod, mp-3 player, or cell phone with mp-3 can generate enough power to operate the JVC HARX700 to its full capacity, so please consider this before you purchase. My recommendation: Buy these headphones before the price increases, or the company ceases production of this model. You will be happy you did. Soybody

I bought these headphones recently from Walmart, and I must say, I cannot imagine a better set of cans for $30. They are solid, well made, and despite their size, they're fairly light. After spending a few hours burning them in, I find the quality of the sound to be excellent. The lows, mids, and highs are well balanced, clean, and strong. If you're a bass-head, this might not be the set for you. The bass is clean and well-defined, but not overwhelming, which is just the way I like it. I'd also suggest that these aren't the phones for plugging into your ipod and going for a run. They're very large, with a long cord, and they're made quite simply for listening to good music at home or the office. I find them to be comfortable, and they do a pretty good job of isolating you from outside noise. I'd suggest you listen to them through your receiver or perhaps use a headphone amplifier for best sound quality. All in all, I think these are the very best cans you can buy for less than $100, or maybe for less than $150 for that matter.
