It always runs on low until I light up a cigarette and in a few moments it ramps up its speed and socks the smoke towards it. I can already feel the difference in my breathing. My skin isn't as itchy either and I'm only running one them....I bought 2. I'm hoping that it won't be a problem getting replacement HEPA filters for them.

living in the desert comes with dust. One day a sunbeam through a window highlighted just how much is in the air. I thought this can't be good. Good reviews led me to this unit. I have a small studio apartment and started it up, timer on 4 hours. I am amazed at how that was 2 days ago and it has been off since the 4 hours. let the sunbeams shine because my apartment air is no longer filled with dust. Huh. I bet it stays cleaner too. And I am looking forward to cooking something smelly to see how it deals with odors, again I bet it does a great job. Try it, you'll like it!
