Less than most and worked great

I was going to have to purchase an 80lb breaker for about $1500 and didn't want to for two reasons... high cost and at 55 yrs old the heavy breakers wear me out. So I bought this lighter cheaper breaker. It worked great for less money and didn't wear me out as bad.

Farming

We own a farm in a very rocky (sand rock) area. Purchased this product by chance. I was looking at generators for backing up my freezer when the power goes out and this product pop up as something people purchased with the generator I was looking at. Due to digging post hole being difficult on our farm I decided to give it a try. Digging post holes in rocky ground is never fun however this product has sped the process up tremendously.

Great for Breaking Up Limestone!

For years I've used a 90# pneumatic hammer and a big towable air compressor for shaping and removing limestone here in central Texas. Now at 65 my urge to wrestle that beast has diminished and the size and weight of the Ironton Heavy-Duty Demolition Breaker Hammer fits my requirements much better. I have been pleasantly surprised at just how effective this tool has been at breaking away limestone bedrock. It's not as quick as the pneumatic version but you can accomplish the same results and still be able to walk and move after spending a morning busting rock!
