If you've never tasted instant mashed potatoes, they are shockingly good. I very much love homemade mashed potatoes but instant potatoes make a very good and easy substitute and they're not terribly high in calories and fat. It's a good comfort food substitute for a pint of ice cream :)

All of my life I have washed, peeled, boiled, mashed and whipped potatoes for every occasion. I was away and noticed the host was using these. Hmmm, I thought ... then I noted they were DELICIOUS, tasted as good as the 'real thing' that took so much time and work. I started using these potatoes after that and have been extremely pleased with the results. Definitely give them a try. The family size says it have 8 servings, 8 generous servings. The preparation is so easy. Boil 4 cups of water, add contents of package (I usually measure the water in a glass measuring cup and add the potatoes into it), fluff with a fork and fluff again prior to serving. They are Fantastic!
