Instructions
Cooking Instructions: Measure 2 cups of water into a heavy saucepan (at least 2 quart capacity) and bring to a boil. Add a tablespoon of butter or margarine and a teaspoon of salt, if desired. Stir in 1 cup of rice. Cover the sauce pan. Lower the heat and simmer 45 minutes or until the rice is tender and al the water is absorbed. Makes about 3 cups of fluffy brown rice. Microwave Instructions: Combine 1 cup rice, 2 cups water, 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, and 1 teaspoon salt (optional). Place in a micro-safe dish. Cover and cook on high 5 minutes or until mixture boils. Reduce to 50% power. Cook 30 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. Microwaves may vary.

This is inexpensive but good.
This is consistently good. Don't know why someone would rate this one star--probably just a bad batch. It happens. Just return it. Only happened to me once in years of eating.

Plastic Rice
First time trying brown rice and I'm very disappointed. I've been cooking it over an hour and about 80% of the rice is not cook. The grains are still shut close and very hard. I believe these grains are made of plastic. Very terrible.
