IRH NEW IR4G Black Amara Suede, w/Matte Black Vent Helmet, Size: XL (331318)

I've been wearing this helmet for ~ 3 years now, and I love the fit, style, and durable harness. This is actually going to be my 3rd 4G, and I've had to replace the other 2 because of falls where I hit my head. Pretty substantial falls both times, and both times not even a headache the next day, or any visible damage to the helmet aside from some minor scratches to the shell, and in a face-first fall a crack where the brim joins the helmet (glad it was the brim and not my nose that broke that fall!). The ventilation on this helmet isn't incredible, but the fit is hard to beat for me, and at the end of the day, good fit and protection are absolutely the most important features in a helmet for me. I attribute the great fit (snug without feeling constricting/too tight anywhere on my head) to how well I've been protected in my falls. I love that it comes with replacement liners of 2 different widths as well. The thinner one is perfect in the winter with a headband, and the thicker one gives me a safe fit the rest of the year. Not to mention they are washable!

Love IRH helmets and this one's no exception. It was time for a new schooling helmet and I looked at a lot of models. Really glad I selected this one. Take IRH's advice and measure your head to ensure a proper fit. Get compliments from barn friends about how nice this helmet is.
