It doesn't really good job just make sure you use enough spackle and go right over it in other words if the hole is about a half an inch go out about an 2 in and just come right over and keep going don't stop just go right over it and once it's covered nicely don't keep going over to make it flatter and flatter cuz you will not get a smooth finish. The next day you can send it or let it Go for 2 days and then send it
