Most helmets protect your head, but lave you eyes out in the light. I usually wear a baseball cap which shades you eyes. This helmet has the advantages of Bicycle helmet for safety, and a baseball cap for better vision.

Not as protective as a regular helmet.

It is a fine helmet; if you are riding at a reduced speed in the park and not on the street, it should be sufficient. I am reminded of a baseball mitt by the padding. Thus, this headgear resembles having a baseball glove fastened to one's skull. Modern helmets are constructed with Styrofoam, which absorbs impact. That is precisely what this helmet does not do. If safety is of the utmost importance, purchase an alternative headgear.

padding.

I had to add a piece of foam to the center of the helmet because the strap required additional thickness to feel sufficiently secure. The additional component is concealed by the interior of the headgear. Attached with Velcro to the exterior of the headgear is a plush lining. Excellent seaming on the exterior material.
