happy it fits

The surface area of my swivel in-the-wall mounted, drop down, wooden ironing board is 42" long by 11 3/4" wide. It's 1" thick, with a tapered round front end. This silver silicone coated replacement cover fits. It was challenging to get it stretched over the entire board, but once on, it's smooth and secure. At the front end and sides of the board, the cover wraps to the underside with its elastic edges. This cover has no draw strings, grommets, velcro, or snaps. At the back end of the board, the cover does not wrap to the underside, which is OK because of its swivel function. At the back end the elastic goes over the top edge and keeps the cover in place by hugging the side of the board. The description says there is a thick fiber pad. The fabric has some thickness, but I would not refer to it as being padded. I am pleased with this cover.
