Stable plane

I have had one for 13 years, and it still works. Stable and good-natured. Easy to fly.

Great Trainer

This is the first plane I ever flew. It will fly slow, but at full throttle it can do some mild aerobatics. It only weighs 1.3 oz, 1.5 with a bigger battery and a little tape, so it is very forgiving. If you seriously don't want to break the bank, the Champ is a great choice. However, for a few extra dollars, the Sport Cub S has SAFE and ailerons so it more growth potential.

Incredible Company

I purchased 2 Champ RTF planes for my twin's birthday. The morning of their birthday we went flying for the very first time. The first plane came out of the box with a problem with the elevators, so my kids agreed to take turns with the other plane. The first flight began picture perfect on a bright sunny morning. The smile on my kid's faces was priceless!! We soon realized our inexperience got the best of us, as the plane flew far away and landed somewhere in a corn field. Their smiles soon turned too sadness and disappointment. The following Monday, I shipped the first plane back to Horizon for repair with a note of what happened. Within a week a large box arrived with 2 brand new planes. So, not only did they replace the broken plane, they replaced the lost plane at no charge! How many companies would have done that? Customer service is obviously the cornerstone of Horizon Hobby's business!! Thank you Horizon Hobby for your outstanding customer service!
