Honeywell HL10CESWG 10,000 BTU 115V Portable Air Conditioner for Rooms Up To 450 Sq. Ft. with Remote Control, White/Gray

I ordered this unit "ship to store" and it arrived quickly -- in about 3 days! It was a little larger and heavier than I had pictured, so I needed help getting it into the car (it fit into the back seat of a Corolla). The packaging could have been better since the plug ended up getting a little squished, but thankfully not broken. Set-up was easy. You do have to put it pretty much right in front of a window, but for me that was not a problem. It's fairly quiet, and the noise will probably not bother most people. I bought it primarily for use in my home office, and it cools that room very well. I also tested it in my open-plan kitchen-dining-livingroom, which is more than the 350 sq. feet it's designed for. It also cools that area, but not quite as well. It rolls easily from room to room. I love the auto-evaporation feature. Walmart's price was by far the best -- it was advertised for $100 to $150 more everywhere else! My photos show it hooked up to my dining area window.

our bedroom is always hot and uncomfortable. Our windows are really small so the window unit we bought just was not cutting it. We were having to run two large fans along with the A/C just to keep cool. I finally had enough and bought the portable unit. It does a wonderful job of keeping us nice and cool all night long. No more sweating every night for us. Plus it was much easier to install than the window unit. I would recommend getting Potable A/C's over the window units hands down, I love them.
