Substantial Piece of Furniture

Very solid. Beautiful black island. Arrived in great condition. It is packed very well with wood around the inside of the boxes to protect the contents. Many pieces seems a little overwhelming, but instructions are clear and all pieces are labled. One thing wrong with instructions: (Sorry, I threw away the instructions so I don't have the letter lable) the bottom piece on the drop-leaf side on which the panels slide should be flipped around to where the holes are on the inside of the cabinet; out of site. The diagram shows the holes on the outside and we did it that way thinking there was a reason. There is no reason and it requires you to take the island almost all apart to switch it.

This Kitchen Island is the perfect size for my kitchen. Color matched my existing kitchen cabinets perfectly. Distressed look is not as bad as I'd read in previous comments. It took a while to assemble, but it was not difficult at all. Step by step instructions were easy to follow; however, the instructions seemed to "fall off" towards the end--you must rely on the pictures to finish assembly. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Perfect addition

The house was made in the early 1900s so this really helped. One part was damaged and customer service of the phone number on the box was professional and acted right away to replace the part. Space is limited and added the extention, but will stay down unless needed for a specific task. It is possible to not attach this and it would still look great.
