excellent fit for our 43" tv. a 43" tv is actually only 37" long, because the 43" measurements are taken diagonally. thus, this shelf is a great fit to put our tv on top of.

Great bookcase

The instructions are clearly marked and everything is clearly marked. The only issue I had was the middle back panel. Nothing is said about when to install that piece until the end. To install it you have to take one of the ends back off to install it. Mine does not have the middle back panel as a result of that. I was not going to take it apart to put that on, I will find another way.
