Melting: Microwave: Place 8 oz chips in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on Medium (50%) 1-1/2 minutes; stir. If necessary, microwave on Medium for an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, just until chips are melted when stirred. Top of Stove: Place chips in a small heavy saucepan over lowest possible heat. Stir constantly just until chips are melted.

Tastes like real sugar chocolate chips no jokeI
I bought these to use in my slimfast shakes and other foods. I thought I'd bought hersheys dark chocolate chips. But when I opened the bag today, I looked closely at the writing , just says chocolate chips, not dark, milk, semisweet not specified. Today was going to add a tsp to Oui raspberry yogurt because I'm having a chocolate craving. I opened the pouch and the fresh smell of real chocolate. Omg smells so good! I tasted 1 or 2 at first , you can't tell the difference between these or from chips containing real sugar. I believe these are sweetened w/ malitol. No funky aftertaste with these.

Tastes very similar to normal semisweet chocolate chips, but without the sugar guilt. The calories are still a bit high, though, but if you're making a batch of desserts, will average out. No weird aftertaste like many sugar free alternatives. Price reflects name brand.
