Hereford Corned Beef makes a cheap yet tasty meal
I use a can or two of Hereford Corn Beef to make a cheaper and easier version of Corned Beef and Cabbage, and it's delicious. I cook up about half a slab of chopped bacon a large fry pan, then throw in the corned beef with some chopped onion and saute until the onions are tender, then toss everything in a large pot, add chopped cabbage with water or beef broth, and voila, within 20 minutes or so, you have a delicious corned beef and cabbage meal without all the hassle of using a large, uncooked corned beef brisket. The meat is guaranteed to be tender, and it tastes good.

I really like this brand. It tastes really good and the important part is that it has just the right fat to meat ratio. I have had other brands that was either to low on fat content that it was too dry and crumbly feeling or it was too oily. This brand has always been pretty consistent in texture and flavor. Corned beef is getting rather expensive and the price is pretty fair for the Hereford brand.
