The smell is fruity but pleasant. We have hard water here in Allentown PA and the back of my neck was very itchy, I applied this lotion and immediately the itching went away. I found that amazing. It's a pricey product but a little goes a long way. Cannot wait to try the other Hempz lotions. I highly recommend.
