Healthier!

I am working hard to get all HFCS out of my life and I am seeing results from doing it. I was in need of more ketchup and was contemplating making my own. But then when perusing Heinz ketchup, and I saw this, I just had to try it. Yeah, it took some getting used to, since I am so used to the conventional junk, but once I got used to it, wow, this is very tasty. And it's so much healthier! No contest. At first it didn't seem as sweet, but the richness and getting used to the real stuff again, has made this even more valuable. I always make my own sauce for the top of my meatloaf and this is going to work even better. The flavor profile is making me think about a homemade sauce for pork spareribs, already. I still like A1 or Heinz 57 on my steak (and Heinz 57 is great on a baked potato), but I am seriously contemplating making a sauce with this ketchup for it, too.

Why do we need HFCS in our condiments? Keep It Simple S... Prefer the basic simple catsup/ketchup. At least I know the effects of sugar %26 can try to control /compensate for it. It maintains expected taste, consistency. Diabetics / or prediabetics should have options (there is a version w/ natural alternative sweetener also) to avoid the high fructose corn syrup. I wish this was offered at restaurants %26 take out places also instead of the crap they give you. Short of making your own, this works great!

After reading about the destruction fructose corn syrup does to organ functions in the human body we as are paying the extra cost and extra time looking at ingredients in food we digest. Simply Heinz ketchup boasts they have "no artificial sweeteners", think its step in right direction for healthier eating, when tomato ketchup has to be on dinner table or used in recipe.
