I actually almost immediately returned because it looks tiny. i thought it must be mislabeled. But I verified and it does hold 1.8L/60 oz (five 12 oz. soda cans. I thought I wanted something much bigger, but this actually is great for just toppiing off water at a small dinner party, or making iced tea for two for a few days. It isn't unwieldy, fits easily in the fridge. Has a good wide mouth, can easily fit my average-sized-woman's hand inside with a sponge, and it's easy to add ice. The handle also looked a bit fragile in the picture but feels fine IRL. I tested it by making hot tea then adding ice and it didn't break. While I might need a bigger one for a big party, this is actually perfect for every day.

I have confidence in the carafe, which is sturdy but lightweight borosilicate glass that does not seem fragile at all. The lid was a bit of a disappointment because it feels like tin or aluminum even though it is advertised as stainless steel. But overall, this was a good purchase. It is the perfect size!
