initially, I did not anticipate much from this shirt. I was hoping that it would be as soft as my old sleep shirt. when it arrived it looked like some sort of nylon shirt which led to further disappointment and then I wore it to bed anyway. I am thoroughly impressed by the shirt. it is actually Ultra Soft indicated. I did not miss having a soft cotton sleep shirt. it is true to size I typically wear a large shirt so I ordered a large shirt and it fit perfectly. I'm already in line to order another one. if they feel this good on night number one imagine what it feels like after more than a few washes
