I have purchased a few of these. I'm very satisfied because they don't make a beep when they have reached temperature, just shut off. Only one of the several leaked just slightly for the first two batches of hot water, then it stopped leaking. All the rest have worked perfectly from the beginning.

Handy to have around!

I love my new Hamilton Beach Electric Kettle! I just keep it on the counter right next to my coffee maker with different flavors of teas and hot cocoa mixes next to it. You just flip the switch on it and the water is hot in less than a minute! It sits on a little hot plate and stays hot for hours. Great for dry soup mixes too. Right there waiting for you when ever you want it. Just keep water in it. And it has an auto shut off so if it boils dry or you forget to add water to it it turns its self off. It has a permanent mesh filter that is removable so you can clean it. This keeps calcium and lime that folks with hard water have from pouring out of the kettle into cups. Just clean the filter under clean running water using a soft scrubbing brush on it. I've been wanting to get one of these for a while now because my sister in law has one and she loves hers. So do I because I would always just head straight to hers and pour myself a cup of herbal tea whenever I felt like one. Put little tea cups around it with different teas, cocoas and soup mixes in pretty containers and baskets. Makes your kitchen counter look like a gourmet coffee and tea shop!
