I have a large dog and she is getting larger by the day, (still a puppy). It is extremely difficult to get a large dog collar, at a reasonable price, which does not reflect a male gender. Unless I go to a pet shop, (not conveniently located near me), or a specialty store, (very high priced), it is difficult to get a collar that reflects my dogs gender at a good price, plus it would have to hold up against her weight and strength. I chose this collar because of the double nylon, the adjustable notches, and the standard buckle. I have used the clasp collars before with other dogs and found that the clasp does not work after about a year with big dogs. Trust me, nothing is worse walking your dog and the collar clasp breaks. Very scary. I have never used Hamilton before and so far it is doing well. The collar is washable, confortable to her and as she grows I can adjust with ease. The one major complaint was that it took quite some time to get to me (about 2 weeks), and it came UPS. I have nothing against USP, but when you are shipping a product that is not breakable standard mail would have done nicely and the freight would not have been as much as the collar.
