HP Pavilion 15-dw0037wm is extremely thin, lightweight and packed with features. Its 15.6" display boasts SVA BrightView LED-Backlit display (SVA stands for super vertical alignment) that contributes to the better viewing angles, clear images and vivid colors. The screen can be efficiently viewed from the different angles which mean more flexibility and less eye fatigue. The micro-edge feature with the bezel only a quarter of an inch wide yields more display area that further adds to the modern slim appearance and portability. All that and more while having lower power usage which translates into the huge battery life. That means the laptop can be used for the longer time without having to recharge the battery that further adds to the portability. What's more, the HP Pavilion 15 can be used in either laptop or a tablet mode. The latter enables touchscreen, so you don't have to use the keyboard. The HP Pavilion 15 features excellent multitasking power with its 8th generation Intel Core i3-8145U processor coupled with a large 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM memory and a spacious 1 TB 5400 RPM hard drive. The laptop is just under 3/4 of an inch thick with the lid closed that adds to the efficiency and portability. More user friendly features include the island style keyboard with the numeric pad. The power button is discreetly placed in the top left and does not light when pressed on. Moreover, the low profile keys feature a flat top and straight down edges along with the extra space between them and a short key travel, therefore less up and down movement which adds to the convenience of use and the modern look, plus the keyboard is easier to clean. The Num Lock key is not lighted when pressed on which takes some getting used to. This key is a toggle between the numbers and the arrows. I would leave it on for the numbers as a default and use the arrow keys in the main keyboard. The function keys have their respective functions imprinted on top of each so no more guessing. Want to mute your laptop for more privacy? Press F6. A Night Light settings feature allows for the warmer colors set up during the night hours as opposed to the blue light so the end user can sleep better at night. This can be custom set up to a certain degree or to the specific hours; sunset to sunrise by default. It goes without saying that all settings can be customized to one's preference. Overall, a stylish and efficient laptop with huge battery life, extremely portable and lightweight, with tons of features. I am very pleased with my new HP Pavilion 15 laptop and highly recommend it to anyone.

I am really enjoying my new HP laptop! Wow, it comes with 1 TB of storage; simply incredible! It was super-easy to set up as, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cortana spoke right up and guided me through seamlessly until I was up and running. The start up mode will not allow you to skip past signing in, or signing up for, a Microsoft account. I already had an account so I was able to breeze past additional setup. It would also not let me bypass setting up a computer logon Microsoft PIN. I was hoping to set it up to a PASSWORD instead of a PIN so that it would be in sync with my other computers, but I haven't investigated how to go about doing this yet. I was hoping they'd all sync together, but they did not. The keyboard has large keys with large centered white lettering on each key, which I love. Most laptops have the lettering in the upper left-hand corner of each key instead which makes it hard to read. The large letters and centering of each letter makes the keys so much easier to identify for the not-so-savvy typist. Unfortunately, the keys are not back lit. The actual keyboard is off-center due to the numeric pad on the right side. Being left-handed, this didn't create any issues and my hands/wrists felt comfortable while typing. This laptop IS NOT a touch screen however, Cortana was there to assist with surfing the web. Initially, and by default, the user must navigate the mouse to the mic, click it, and then Cortana is activated. I didn't want to have to use the finger mouse to activate her so my first command was, "Cortana, how do I use you without having to use the mouse and the mic?" She quickly took me to a YouTube video which showed me how to wake her up by the voice command, "Hey, Cortana." Once I had that set up, I used the Hey Cortana feature to surf the web. Along the way I would ask her crazy questions because she really is funny and entertaining! So even though this laptop is not Touch Screen, there is the ability to navigate without having to use the mouse for some things. The screen colors are very colorful and vibrant. I honestly can't get over how much storage this laptop has!
