I have used these purple nitrile gloves for gardening for more than 10 years. They do a great job keeping dirt off my skin and fingernails. I used to buy these gloves under the Kimberly Clark brand; now it's Halyard. I am able to rinse and reuse these gloves several times before they inevitably tear. They are also great for painting, cleaning, or doing any dirty jobs around the house. I don't use latex gloves because of allergies. Nitrile is a synthetic rubber with no smell and they don't bother my skin. Sizing: I have a smallish woman's hand with short thick fingers, so I order the large size even though there is extra room at the fingertips (the medium size is too tight). If you have a smallish woman's hand with thin fingers, medium will probably fit.
