my electrician friend told me I needed a good set of lineman's pliers. Really he said to get the best which is a brand name that rhymes with dine however they are not cheap. I didn't want to get a crappy set either but was not about to spend 40 bucks for a tool I'll use once and a while. I took a chance on this item and it was a great choice. it's solid and well built. my buddy saw it and gave me crap for not buying the one he recommended but after hearing the price difference he agreed that this is a good value. if you're not a pro it's a good choice
