Delicious and Easy to Prepare

This seasoned cabbage is the BEST!! You don't need to do anything but put it in a pan %26 heat it up! I don't really use the microwave. Something like this would be a hit to a carry in, where you're expected to bring food. No one would know you didn't make it yourself! I prefer to buy items that I don't have to do a lot to in order to have a satisfying, nourishing meal! This is healthy too, way healthier than a lot of precooked meals!

Pleasantly surprised at just how good this was. This is not some bland, boiled cabbage. Granted, it may be a bit softer than if one had cooked a fresh cabbage - it is canned after all - but it's not just a pile of mush either. I had no issue with the texture and, in my opinion, it had just the right amount of seasoning; it doesn't taste salty but it does have about 450 mg sodium per 1/2 cup serving so may want to keep that in mind if you're being careful of your sodium intake. For me, a few drops of hot sauce or a pinch of red pepper flakes and it was perfect. Good to have a can or two on hand when you can't - or don't want to - go to the store but want to have some cabbage as part of your meal. And having some veggies with your meal is always a good thing!

Perfect for a quick and easy meal in my Instant Pot.: 1/2 - 3/4 cups rice of choice; add 1 cup of water, a can of mixed vegetables and/or a can of diced or stewed tomatoes, and a can of Great Value beans of choice. Takes 8 minutes on High in IP., 20-25 minutes on the stove. Sometimes I add a 5 or 10 oz. can of GV chicken, and vary the salt level, depending on who's eating. We like it with some Jackson's Sweet Potato Chips.
