I purchased this additional wrench, as well as Proto set JSCVT-9S of ratcheting wrenches. Great looking (polished chrome finish), and I like the ASD design of the open end. I also appreciate the long length of these wrenches. The reversing switch is well-placed, which prevents accidentally engaging it; there is a 15 degree offset for hand clearance and I like the sturdy heft of the wrenches. I wanted to buy the U.S.-made set, but I can't justify the cost for home use. I would have liked to purchase that set for the spline wrench capability, which would be helpful with worn or otherwise damaged fasteners. I've not used these yet (thus the lower rating), but based on what I've seen, these should be a fine set of wrenches. My only complaint is that the ratcheting mechanism is a bit loud; my belief is that these were not lubricated at the factory and are therefore "dry". There's no easy way to introduce machine oil or grease into the mechanism; I'll have to check with Proto re their recommendation on this. I gave a lower rating for that issue until I can get a response/directions on how to handle this. Just a reminder: Don't use the ratcheting box end to break loose or tighten fasteners; always use the open end for this. The ratchet is fragile by comparison, and should only be used to quickly spin the fastener/nut on or off.
