Great for a home made dip

I love these bacon bits. I use them for a bacon dip to put on crackers. I take one package of cream cheese softened. I put that in a mixing bowl and add 8 ounces of sour cream. I throw in one heaping spoon of Hellmans mayonaise or Walmart brand. I mix that up. I chop up a large sweet onion into small pieces but not minced. I put those into the dip mix and stir. I grab a jar of bacon bits and pour 2/3rds of it into the bowl and mix it all together evenly. You can add the entire jar of bits if you like. Cover that or put it in another bowl with a lid and put it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or more. The bacon bits swell up and absorb some of the moisture. I set that out with crackers and it doesn't last long. Many times I have been told "I can't stop eating it". What a compliment.
