Great Value Whole Grain Saltine Crackers, 16 oz, 4 Count

These are really good! The price makes them even better! Crisp and fresh. I would not hesitate to buy again! Great with cheese and crackers or just as a snack alone

I LOVE these Great Value whole grain saltines! They have a nice light golden brown color and a kind of pretzel-like taste. I especially love the ones that have been baked to a darker golden brown, which they used to always be a dark golden brown in earlier years; now they're lighter in color. But when I open a box and find the nice deep darker golden brown ("pretzel gold" I call them), I'm so happy and feel like I found a treasure. Seriously I am hooked on these whole grain saltines. They are the one item unique to Walmart, that will always bring me back to Walmart, Lol, just for these silly saltine crackers. They are comfort food to me. I hope Walmart never stops selling these. If I could have a wish:  I wish they'd bake them all to a nice, darker golden brown, because that's what really brings out their unique flavor. If I had my own cracker baking company, I'd make these in an organic version, add a higher percentage of the whole wheat/whole grain,  and bake them to that nice dark golden brown that I love. If I sound a bit obsessive here, I assure you it is genuine. These are nothing like a plain old regular ordinary saltine. They are sooo good. True comfort food that I can eat straight from the box. No kidding, I'm crazy addicted to these whole grain saltines. Note: they're not truly whole grain, but have just a bit of whole grain in them, but enough to give it a nice, richer flavor.
