My dear husband and I are enjoying an empty nest. We have made the transition from a family of four to a family of two. This sauce is just the right size to make one meal for the two of us. It is pasta sauce without the frills. So I jazz it up by adding browned ground turkey, garlic and onion powder and shaking a little Italian seasoning with a couple pinches of sugar to the sauce and it's like eating Ragu, (besides opening those big jars of pasta sauce takes an act of congress)😞 and I don't have to worry about what to do with the leftovers because there are none. Toss the can in the trash, easy peasy.

good stuff

I buy a lot of generic products, but I am sort of picky about tomato sauce. This sauce is very good. Has a nice tomato flavor, no spices added, so you can use it for anything. We use it to make pasta sauces and it always taste good. Not bitter at all. Love great value prices, so it's a win!

good flavor and texture, "sharp" tomato taste

I used this tomato sauce as part of a recipe for a homemade "spaghettios" type of dish. The sauce needed to add thickness and sharp tomato flavor to the dish and this did that very well. It smelled and looked appetizing in the can and seemed to be pretty fresh. It was every bit as good as a name brand tomato sauce.
