Is 4 oz better than 8 oz can? For me: Yes!

I used to get these in the 8 oz can, but found that I didn't always need the full 8 oz for every recipe (as a single guy). That would mean storing excess in the fridge and if I really didn't use mushrooms for a while they'd spoil! (Yuck). So going with the 4 oz can is better for me for a couple of reasons. Obviously less chance of spoilage. The 4 oz cans only triple stack on my storage shelf as opposed to the double stack for the 8 oz can, but it has a smaller foot print allowing me to actually store more mushrooms! That's it. Otherwise, they're canned mushrooms w/ very long shelf life.

canned pieces and stems mushrooms, canned

I use canned mushrooms, pieces, and stems for omelets, soups, stews, and casseroles. You don't need to worry about them going bad before using them. I love fresh mushrooms, but having a grocery budget is a much more cost-effective purchase on a budget.

Quality and Quantity

The mushrooms are great as far as quality and price go, but what I like best about this product is the size of the can. It's perfect for us to turn one of those smallish/medium sized cheeze pizzas or flatbreads into a mushroom pizza or flatbread that can be heated in our toaster/convection oven for lunch. I try to keep a couple of cans in the pantry as they are not only good for small oven pizzas but good to drop into gravy or sauces. The can is just the right size.
