Especially looking at the carb difference, about 1 gram factoring in the extra fiber only 60 calories in Great Value For an affordable, everyday sauce, it delivers solid flavor without tasting overly processed. The texture is nicely balanced not too watery and not overly thick and it coats pasta well. The tomato flavor is straightforward and slightly sweet, with mild seasoning that makes it versatile for spaghetti, baked ziti, or as a base for homemade sauces. I especially like that it doesn't overpower dishes, so it's easy to customize with garlic, red pepper flakes, or fresh herbs. It also works well for quick weeknight meals when I don't have time to simmer sauce from scratch. I like the taste of this marinara sauce--it's on par with what I find at Aldi. I like that it's lower in sugar than spaghetti sauce and isn't super thin. We use it on our chicken crusted pizzas, but also as dipping sauces for chicken and cheese sticks.
