I first tried Walmart's store brand when I needed extra protein in beef/barley soup. I haven't needed to go to another brand, since Equate has actual, real-tasting beef chunks and rich-tasting broth. This is so delicious and healthier than the lunch meat with nitrites! I gently warm it up and since it has gravy it makes a great sandwich with artesano sausage buns with romaine lettuce with cheese of your choice! I use these canned roast beef to make sandwiches and to add to soup. The flavor is nice. It's not tinny nor is it "dog food" like. It works well drained and fried up in a skillet with onions to make cheese steaks. Also, no need to drain when making soup or stew, again, the flavor is very good.
