I always keep at least 4 boxes in case economy bottoms out/food shortages happen. A great, inexpensive, wholesome food for breakfast or anytime you do not feel like cooking. Good price. Note, if stocking up: I do take them from the container...turn the oven on 200 degrees and then place oats in large baking pan, cookie sheet and put them in the over for a couple of minutes.....take them out and let cool thoroughly, put into gallon sized ziplock bags and get the air out and then freeze some, store some in refrig, and the others, I put into the ziplock bags and put back into the containers and seal tight

I usually buy Bob's Red Mill but decided to give the house brand a try, there had been one other store brand in the past that I really liked and wanted to see if it was as good. It was, in every way! The old fashioned grains were clean, large and held their shape well when cooked. Lovely flavor and aroma, I usually cook them in the microwave with some brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and fresh blueberries but sometimes I'll have them raw like Swiss muesli.The 42 oz container is more economical than the smaller sizes and easier on the budget. This brand will now be my oatmeal of choice, a good source of fiber and protein. Not just for breakfast, it's useful in cookies, cobblers and as a thickener.
