Perfect for my little "hotel nook" in my bedroom! I brew my coffee before going downstairs in the mornings or tea at night before bed. I prefer the brew in cup option as to not have to deal with washing the pot everyday. I just transport my cup downstairs. Also it doesn't have an automatic off feature however it doesn't hotplate which alleviates any worry about a fire.

This little coffee maker works just as it says, nothing fancy. You can make a single cup, a travel tumbler or a 5 cup carafe of coffee, which is perfect for filling an enormous travel mug, or to fill about two regular mugs. It is a pretty simple coffee maker. It cannot be programmed, it has a plain old on off button (which lights up so you can easily see whether or not you left it on), it does not have a heat plate, but it does come with it's own filter and best of all, takes up less space on the counter than my pod coffeemaker. It also has an adjustable stand so your coffee won't splatter all over the counter like it does with a pod coffee maker. I find it easier and, of course, it's much cheaper to make my cup of coffee in this little thing. I was gifted a pod coffee maker a while back and finally broke down and bought k cups, which to me have seemed very wasteful, so I am very happy with this one and will continue using it instead.
