Pretty bowl but no suction

The bowl is a nice size, durable and a beautiful, vibrant teal color. But I bought it for the advertised suction which it didn't do at all! It would suction for a few seconds at most and then release. No staying power whatsoever. If it were a lower cost I probably would have kept it, but I don't need a pretty baby bowl for $15. I was willing to give it a try if it meant he couldn't throw it off his high chair. I'm pretty disappointed as I had high hopes for this bowl.
