Instructions
Microwave: Microwave Directions (It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared in the microwave at a time. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate.): 1. In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 1 cup wild rice and 2-1/2 cups water or broth. 2. Cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 30-35 minutes. Let stand for 10-15 minutes. Serve. Cooking Directions on Stove: 1. In a medium saucepan bring water or broth to a boil. (Cooking Measurement Chart: Rice; Water/broth; Yield; Serving (1 cup cooked): 1/2 cup; 1 cup; this bag. 1-1/2 cups; 3 cups; 7-1/2 cups. 2 cups; 4 cups; 10 cups. 2; 4; 10.) 2. Stir in rice, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 55 minutes. (add butter, olive oil or salt if desired.) 3. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
