Basil paste is great for dressings and sauces

I bought this by mistake and I love it. I will be buying it again. It smells and tastes very fresh and is so much easier to use than fresh basil. Added bonus there is no waste, you can put in your refrigerator and save it for next time you need fresh basil. It doesn''t replace fresh whole leaves but works great in dressings and sauces.

I bought this to make bruschetta when I couldn't locate fresh basil and now I think I prefer this for that use. I could spread it on the bread before I put the tomatoes on and get a nice even coating that made each bite have a more uniform flavor. Worked great. Has a nice, fresh taste and no vinegar undertaste that some items like this can have. Seems to be lasting a long time too - a little goes a long way!
