Jamie Oliver was right. This is by far the best seasoning I've ever tasted. It's far better than the red pepper flakes I've been using. It's a combo of paprika and chili peppers. The extra punch it gives all food, and I mean all, is unbelievable. Jamie Oliver is not only the best chef ever, even better than Julia Child, but his command of seasonings and herbs is ridiculously uncanny.

Must have for Authentic Basque cuisine

good stuff, great flavor, a must have for authentic Basque dishes. Slightly different flavor profile than the standard red pepper flake that most substitute in recipes found here in the US due to the rarity of finding this chili powder. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a reliable source of good seeds to grow my own plants so finding this has been great.

Took my egg salad to the next level

This was listed as one of the ingredients for an egg salad recipe I wanted to try. I didn't have it so I used regular paprika and a little cayenne pepper. It was good, but I was intrigued by this espelette pepper and wanted to try the recipe again using it. This one had the best reviews, so I purchased. It gave the egg salad a great taste but I did miss the slight heat from the pinch of cayenne I used the first time. But it's much more flavorful than regular sweet or smoked paprika. Next time I make the egg salad, I'll use this piment d'espelette pepper and a dash of cayenne.
