Shea butter is a white oil and solid at average room temperature.  It has a low melting point and you will let it melt in your hands before applying to the skin.  Gluten-Free Savonnerie offers the Shea Butter is a variety of other containers and sizes.  if you live in a warm environment the blue tubs, 4 oz or 8 oz, with tightly fitting lids are recommended over the wind up tubes. Shea Butter will become very soft and start to liquefy at temperatures approaching 90 degrees.

Shea Butter instructions: Remove the desired amount of Shea Butter from the tub with a spoon or small paddle, then warm a small amount in the palm of your hands and apply the melted Shea Butter to the skin or lips to enjoy its many benefits.
