Tasted like home

I'm not a good cook, so cooking greens from scratch is not going to happen in my house. I've tried other canned greens before but they were kind of blah. In other words, they expected me to add flavorings and seasonings to make them taste like home. No need for that here. These tasted like they were seasoned with bacon fat like my Momma and Granny always used, with just a hint of onion and garlic. All I had to do was heat, add vinegar (don't make that face until you've tried it) and eat. I had mine with the same brand's blackened peas and I was in heaven. If you are fond of garlicky greens you will need to add some more. Garlic powder is one of the ingredients, but it is last on the list, so there isn't much garlic flavor - good for me, but maybe not for everyone.

Tasty canned collards

While there's nothing like a fresh pot of collards made with fresh cut greens, onions, and smoked pork (ham hocks, bacon, or chopped ham), these canned collards are pretty good, especially when you don't have the time or energy to cook. As a senior with health issues, I don't have the energy to stand in the kitchen for long, so I'm not making a lot of those meals I used to love to cook. More and more, frozen meals and canned foods have had to replace those meals I used to spend hours on. I've tried other brands of canned collards, but Glory Foods is the best. They're heat-and-eat ready and taste good.

The taste of these collard greens are not bad they just need to take just a little bit of the vinegar out of it other than that do some good taste and collard greens
