Excellent lightweight hose, well designed. Used for gardening, landscape, and watering livestock. It resist abrasions, does not kink like less quality hoses I have used. I appreciate the fact product is made in the USA. It is a high quality product and offers many improvements over old standard heavy duty rubber hoses. It is all weather rated and UV protected and is half the weight of most hoses of same length and size. Product has a lifetime warranty. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great quality and durable hose.

The Gilmour hose is an excellent product for my needs. I use it on a roll-about hose cart mainly for washing cars and watering plants. In both cases I don’t need a 3/4” hose, although all my other hoses are that size, because that is the most common size for quality hoses. It is such a pleasure to handle a lighter weight hose that actually fits well in my hose cart. Now, it’s probably even more than 50% lighter, but that’s not quite fair because the comparison hose is 3/4" and this one is only 1/2". It is so light that unfurling it from my hose cart is a snap, since it stores flat. I have not been able to kink it while in use, but it can kink when empty and you are rolling it back to the hose cart. However, that does not create a weak spot and just unkinks the next time you use it. I’ve only used it 4 times so far but that is already much more durable than the fabric expandable hose I previously used for car washing. That silly hose lasted only one time and ripped itself apart on the second use. I’ve not had this hose out on a hot summer day to verify the manufacture’s claim about withstanding extreme temperatures. Near freezing cold does not bother it. The couplings are unusually high quality. The hose claims to be safe for drinking from, but I still won’t let anybody drink from a hose, despite claims that it is safe.
