Our Carolina Gold Extra-Long Grain Parboiled White Rice gets its name from the process of partially boiling the rice in its husk. The process gives the rice its signature yellow color and helps conserve the original whole grains found in the rice. It has a nuttier taste perfect for any rice recipe, including rice and beans, rice pudding, and more. It's sodium-free, fat-free, and cholesterol-free.

Stovetop - From Ambient **1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.* **2. Stir rice.** **3. Cover. Reduce heat and swimmer for 25 minutes or until all water is absorbed. *** Cooking Measurement Chart **For drier rice, use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water. **Rice: 1 cup; Water: 2 1/4 cups; Makes: 3 cups; Servings (3/4 cup cooked): 4 **Rice: 2 cups; Water: 4-1/2 cups; Makes: 6 cups; Servings (3/4 cup cooked): 8 **Rice: 3 cups; Water: 6 3/4cups; Yield: 9 cups; Servings (3/4 cup cooked): 12 **** Add 1 tbsp butter 1 tsp salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. **Microwave - From Ambient **Cooking Direction in the Microwave*** **1. In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 2 1/4 cup water and 1 cup rice.** **2. Cover and microwave on High for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% pewer, microwave for 20 minutes. Let stand for 50 minutes. **** Add 1 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. ***** It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared in the microwave at a time. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximately.
