Talk about something that is true to my heart! Sausage...you can make good Chinese sausage with spice. This blend of five spices, extensively used in Chinese cuisine, brings warm, spicy-sweet flavors to stir-fries and roasted meats, as well as spice cakes and cookies. It's useful to add to stir-fry dishes, marinades and meat sauces. This is an excellent price from Walmart for this product. It comes airtight sealed for freshness. I have bought this from many Asian stores that was not as fresh as the one from Walmart. So this weekend we are making Chinese turkey sausages...boy I can't wait. If it goes well lookout Jimmy D...!

tasty!

I had always wanted to try Chinese Five Spice. I made some stir fry vegies and I added a generous shake of this Five Spice and it is so GOOD!!! The flavor is wonderful and ads a nice different flavor to otherwise boring stir fry. I am going to try this with other things, including cookies. Yum!!

For Delicious Dinners

I have used the Chinese 5 spice powder before. This blend can be used on several types of foods from soups to dinners to dessrrts. My favorite is Chinese 5 Spice Powder Chicken with Coconut Milk. I add extra ginger, garlic, red peppers ,onions, and the chicken and serve over rice which I have cooked in the coconut milk ,a little water, and chicken bouillon. Absolutely excellent meal! And the amount t of spice is easily controlled. There are distinct layers of flavor. This would be great in chili with hot peppers.
