A light lemon essence
These are really good. They are good with crackers, mayonnaise and crackers, mustard and toast etc. I even eat crackers with the sardine sauce which is good as well. And with a light lemon essence in them. My sardines still had the tail on most of them. Which was fine with me. They were still really good. I do recommend for now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love sardines and eat them often as a topper on salads or on flatbread as a meal. I usually buy expensive imported sardines, so I couldn't wait to try Chicken of the Sea Sardines in Lemon and Extra Virgin Olive Oil to see how they compared to pricier options. I'm happy to report that this product stands up to the most fancy sardines as far as taste and quality. The fish are a good size and have a great taste. The texture is firm and despite the EVOO-based sauce they are not too oily. I actually love the EVOO/Lemon sauce. I recommend this product highly for anyone who enjoys sardines. They are a great, healthy source of protein and so delicious.
