They do the job
These stove protectors have to be cut to size. They are a little thin, but seem to protect the stove from major spills. I have wiped them down with a sponge, and they cleaned up easily. I have doubts about how many cleaning they can withstand. One of them touched the flame from the burner. It glowed hot but did not burn, so I consider them safe from fire.
